Refund policy
Refund & Returns Policy
We hope you love your purchase from Amberley Jewellers. However, if you change your mind about an item purchased through our website, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it.
Once you have told us that you wish to cancel, the item must be returned to us within a further 14 days.
Arranging a Return
Please contact us before returning any jewellery so that we can arrange the appropriate secure return method for you.
Email: sales@amberleyjewellers.co.uk
Telephone: 02382 517 621
For returns arranged with us under this policy, Amberley Jewellers will cover the cost of the return and provide or arrange the appropriate return method. Please do not send jewellery back to us independently without contacting us first.
Condition of Returned Jewellery
You are welcome to carefully inspect and try on your jewellery in the same way that you reasonably would in a jewellery shop.
Returned items will be inspected when they arrive back with us. If an item has been worn, damaged or handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect it, and this has reduced its value, we may make an appropriate deduction from the refund to reflect that reduction in value.
Boxes, Certificates & Documentation
Please return the jewellery with its Amberley Jewellers presentation box and any certificates or other documentation supplied with the item.
Certificates can be costly to replace and may form an important part of the value and provenance of a piece. If a certificate, box or other item supplied with the jewellery is not returned and this results in a replacement cost or reduction in the value of the jewellery, an appropriate deduction may be made from the refund.
Any complimentary gift included with your order, such as chocolate, is yours to keep and does not need to be returned.
Personalised & Altered Jewellery
Some items that have been made to your specification or clearly personalised, such as jewellery engraved specifically for you, may not qualify for the usual change-of-mind cancellation right.
Where alterations such as ring sizing are requested, we will explain any relevant charges and return implications before carrying out the work.
This does not affect your statutory rights if an item is faulty, damaged or not as described.
Faulty or Incorrect Items
If you believe your jewellery is faulty, damaged on arrival or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can help.
Your statutory rights in relation to faulty or misdescribed goods are not affected by this policy.
Refunds
Once your return has been received, we will inspect the item and process any refund due without undue delay and within the timescales required by law.
Where applicable, your refund will include the standard delivery charge originally paid. If you chose a more expensive delivery service than our standard option, any additional delivery cost does not have to be refunded.
Refunds will normally be made to the original payment method.
In-Store Purchases
The statutory change-of-mind cancellation rights that apply to online purchases do not apply in the same way to purchases made in our physical shop.
This does not affect your statutory rights where goods purchased in store are faulty or not as described.
