A beautiful antique 9ct gold opal and pearl brooch, dating to over 100 years ago and retaining its original fitted J Purton jeweller's presentation box.
The delicate openwork design centres around a pretty opal displaying subtle flashes of colour, framed by two pearls and elegant scrolling gold detail.
Stamped 9ct, the brooch retains its traditional pin fastening together with a safety chain. At approximately 3g, it is a wonderfully delicate example of antique jewellery that remains very wearable today.
Particularly lovely is the survival of its original fitted J Purton box, adding further charm and provenance to the piece.
